Rock Creek Church | Prosper, Texas

The design concept plays off of the church’s name and branding and incorporates abstracted creek elements through the use of jagged forms in the paving of the outdoor courtyards which carry into the large Commons area and continue inside with jagged markings on the floors to identify areas of circulation versus areas of refuge for fellowship. Sweeping and flowing forms cascade down the interior walls from the roof deck and transition to horizontal elements to mark areas of fellowship. The project includes a 1,000 seat auditorium (expandable to 1,500), a large Commons area with cafe and seating, Children’s education areas, and a large outdoor courtyard with covered seating areas and fire pits.
